Hello. I think it is totaly iresponsible to sell OUR forests. Not only are they selling off what they may see just as a group of trees on a piece of land, but all the eco structure it contains ,which if mismanaged could be compromised. Also the recreational aspects will be put at risk. Its all very well saying that “right of access will be maintained”,if decent footpaths are not maintained ,these safeguards are inadequate. There is also a danger that the highest bidder may (as has appened with previous situations)be from overseas makeing management more remote.

THESE FORESTS ARE OURS, THE TAX PAYER WE OWN THEM SO IF THE GOV WANTS TO SELL THEM TO THEIR GREEDY LITTLE FRIENDS THEY SHOULD HAVE TO COME TO US TO VOTE ON IT. WE OWN IT WE SAY IOF IT’S TO BE SOLD OFF. JUST THE SAME AS OUR NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE….KEEP YOUR GUBBY GREEDY HANDS OFF.lOOK WHAT MARGARET THATCHER DID FOR US, NOW WE ARE REAPING THE WHIRLWIND FROM THOSE MISTAKES, EVERYTHING IN FORIGNORS HANDS, WE HAVE NO SAY IN OUR OWN COUNTRY ANYMORE

Government is custodian not owner of commonly held land work for and paid for by tax, therefor belongs to us surely.

These political idiots are again wasting our time. I oncur with the many who say we oen the forests via tax payments. We the UK community have bequeathed the forests to govermnet to manage, not to sell. Forests give oxygen to the planet, we must have our share!!! Access will be removed. Wildlife severly affected. There will be a middle east style uprising if they try to sell the forests. A new political landscape will be required to manage the country, one which:

– Will ensure light touch policies do not exist for banks to operate like casinos.
– Will ensure know single prime minister can make or leverage power to destabalise a country, which is tantamount to corruption. Remember Tony Blair and his property purchase in the property boom? And the back patting in USA meetings the Bush, followed by a credit boom? I do.
– Remeber the 110% mortgages as we entered property ponzi scheme territory.
– Has the bank bonuses from Tax payer owned banks been quelled? No.

Why should the common British Tax payer take the brunt of corrupt senior politicians.

– May I suggest the people of the country could run our country more sensibley than government.
